Can someone please help me with my cookie problem, I used already made cookie dough then I cut them with my own cookie cutter but when I baked then they lost there shape so I had to recut them while they were warm.
What did I do wrong? FYI I only used store brought cookie dough because it was just a quick project with my daycare children never for a client.

Some of that store bought dough is for drop cookies only and not cut outs, maybe that's the problem??
Not enough flour.. I read here that when people are using store dough that they knead in extra flour..
Another idea is to chill them before you bake them. This helps them retain their shape. )
if you are using refrigerated dough (or from a package) you definitely need to add more flour. Also, after cutting you should refrigerate or freeze them for a few minutes.
