How can I prevent the fondant from a bottom tier from sticking to the cake board of the top tier?
I had a hard time separating the tiers, because the fondant was stuck and broke apart. Is there any remedy for this problem?
You could use wax paper or parchment paper between the tiers under the board. Use a little royal icing or buttercream under the paper and on top or the paper.
You can also put a little bit of ps on your cake underneath the cake boards.
Were your dowels the same length? I'm assuming they were below the surface.
Yep. I think that was my problem. I should have cut the dowels just a little above the cake. I am trying all the sugestions though, just in case.
