I will be doing my first cake with a wire topper next weekend. Would somebody mind telling me if there is a special wire used for cakes or do i use floral wire? Thanks!

Hi! Use floral wire but stick it into a straw or a stir stick and then into the cake so that it's food safe. If the wire moves around you can pipe a bit of melted chocolate or put some fondant, etc. into the straw. Good luck!
