Hey everyone. Normally I wrap and freeze my cakes when I have a lot to do.. but my freezer is actually full now. I'm wondering how long I can keep a cake fresh at room temperature... So, after I bake, cool and wrap in saran... how long can I leave it out? Should I coat it with simple syrup first? any ideas? thanks

The longest I ever leave them wrapped in plastic wrap and at room temp is 3 days. Most of the time, I bake on Wed. for Sat. orders and do not freeze them.

I don't use simple syrup for any of my cakes.

No foil needed. I'll have a dining room table full of cling-wrapped cakes by tomorrow night. icon_biggrin.gif
