Hello everyone!!

I just realized that I bought unsalted butter by mistake icon_mad.gif . The cake recipe calls for 4 sticks of salted butter. Is there such a thing as adding salt so I don't have to go back and buy more butter? I figure there will be one expert out there that can help me with this icon_wink.gif

Thanks for your help!

Just add a pinch of salt.

For each stick (1/2 cup) of butter, I'd add an additional 1/4 tsp of salt to the recipe to compensate. Most commercial salted butters in the grocery store contain about 1-2 tsp of salt, depending on the brand.
