I can only find heavy whipping cream, is that the same as cream?
What do you need it for?
It IS cream, but it has a higher percentage of fat than regular cream. Depending on what you need it for, it should work. There are some things that need just the regular cream, though.
Heavy cream and heavy whipping cream are both 36-40% butterfat and when whipped will hold its form and double in volume.
Whipping Cream has a butterfat content of 30%. It whips but not as well as heavy cream, and will not hold its form long.
Light, coffee, or table cream (1830% fat)
I use heavy whipping cream in all of my buttercreams. Love it.
