Who Has Made Ricks Special Buttercream???

I made my own icing for the first time yesterday using this recipe. Tastes good but (excuse me if i don't word this right) it gets very soft and sticky if you have to work with it for more than 2-3 minutes. I had only put on the crumb coat and noticed this so now I'm wondering what is going to happen when I go to decorate it. I have a feeling with the warmth of my hand....it's going to melt right in the bag and become too soft.

Anyone made this recipe (exactly as it is in the recipe section)? What do I need to do to make it more stiff and less likely to "melt"?
