I am having my first consultation with a client this monday. I was wondering if there was a checklist is should go by. This way i can make sure i am taking all the proper steps. can anyone help

I don't really have a check list, but can offer some suggestions. Have as many pics of your work as possible. You also can have pics of other people's work or magazines, but make sure you are honest with them and let them know if you didn't make a particular cake. You may want to have something for them to taste as well. Have a dummy cake showing off some of your work. It always helps to see something in person. Have your pricing down. Take a non-refundable deposit if they are to book with you. Draw out the design and color in with colored pencils. Having a visual that you both can see and be on the same page is very helpful. Give them a copy of this. Have your flavors spelled out on a sheet you can hand to them.
