I am fixing to open my own bakery soon and I am just wondering what kind of icing should I use. I have been using wiltons buttercream recipe for years and I really love it but I am just curious about how long can I leave it sitting out. Also, is this a good recipe to use in a bakery or should i use another type of icing? Thanks for any advise!

I'm not sure it's a good idea to go thru the expense of opening a bakery if you aren't confident in what ingredients to use yet. icon_confused.gif Different icings have different ingredient and labor costs, which should be part of your business plan.

Any icing is good to use in a bakery, if that's what made you a success and it's what your customers like.

I have confidence myself with the icing that I use and I have never had a complaint on it..... I guess i am just letting my nerves kick in.
