Hi, I just made my first set of isomalt jewels tonight. They look good! Now I want to adhere them to my cake that is covered in fondant. I thought I read somewhere NOT to use buttercream frosting because it contains water. What should I use to adhere the jewels to the sides of the cake? The cake will be served tomorrow, and I don't have time to order anything "fancy" on the internet. I do have chocolate wafers in a variety of colors. Any thoughts??
I used Royal icing when I did mine but only a little.
