Does anyone know how or what to use to get buttercream to look like a pearly color. So one can pipe out pearls on fondant.

Let it crust and then brush it with pearl dust with a soft paintbrush. I've made them with fondant and then painted with airbrush color and a paintbrush and that works well, but I don't have good luck getting buttercream to stick to fondant so I haven't tried it with buttercream.

i have piped pearls with buttercream(american).. let them set up.. then with a gentle touch and soft brush.. dusted them with super pearl dust.
