Hello All,

I order some silver and gold highlighter dust from sugarcraft since Sunday and they just shipped it out today, so I will not have it in time to do a silver and gold cake that someone ordered for Sunday and the only craft store in my area is Michael's and they do not carry highlighter dust.

Any suggestions on how to paint these flowers gold and silver?

Do you have any type of shimmer/pearl dust? Does Michael's carry it?

If you make your flowers in shades of pale yellow & pale grey, then just dust them with the pearl dust, they look "gold" and "silver".

(Do you have a pic of what you mean by "these flowers"? icon_confused.gif )

Michael's does carry Pearl Dust, in gold and silver. That might work...

Michaels carries the Wilton dusts, and one pack has silver and gold. It's coarser than luster dust, but might work in a pinch.

Wilton makes two kinds of dust, the coarse one and a finer one that (sort of) works like pearl dust. It's more of a slight sheen than a true metallic look but might work in a pinch. Wilton's pearl dust at Michaels is a small vial of a single color for $3.99.
