Has anyone ever used a candy mold to make a gumpaste figure? If so did you coat the inside of the mold with sugar. I'm trying to use a mold and the gumpaste is a little slippery and that's not helping it stick in the mold right. It seems to be sliding. Just want to know what anyone else does if anyone does it at all. I thought i'd give it a try.

PS. Just sprinkle some PS in the mold...make sure you get it into all the little spaces.

I blop the gumpaste itself with the powdered sugar then press into the mold. If you put the sugar right in the mold you run the risk of losing some of the pattern.

Yes..I agree!!!! Be careful with the PS!! The key word is sprinkle!
