can they be separated?

I dont like that they are made all in one piece seems like a waste to press out all of them for 1 or 2 letters.

They seem to be pretty firmly attached to me. I cut my paste into strips just wide enough for the letters and then into little squares. Doesn't take much extra time and I don't have to roll out so much paste that way. There also aren't any little "handles" on the back of each letter - just on each grouping of letters - they would be difficult to hold onto if separated. I cut them like Tappits instead of like most other Patchwork cutters - cornstarch underneath and wiggle the cutter.
