I'm looking for a scratch white (non-WASC) cake recipe and am going nuts looking for one in the recipes section. I want to be able to carve and stack the cake too.
Thanks for your help!!!
I love the Cooks Illustrated white cake recipe. It has a nice flavor, good crumb, and it always rises well for me. Here is a link to a blog that has the recipe.
Wonderful- thank you so much for the response!

Oh wow- thanks! I need to learn how to better use the search button... I swear I searched for an hour and couldn't find what I was looking for, lol! Thank you
We did a great "Scratch-off" yellow/white cake thread last year -http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-633981-.html
I personally prefer the Rebecca Rather White-on-White buttermilk cake, it's to DIE for! It is my go-to white cake and I have several friends who've stated it's the best cake they've ever eaten.
Wow, that sounds delicious! I'm going to have to try them all and see for myself!
