I stumbled across this online and thought it might possibly be a help to some of you who are just starting out and don't know what to charge. (CC gets a lot of pricing questions).

I love how the first comment is about how her mom put poinsonous flowers on the cake! They're lucky no one got sick! As for all the other cheap-o commenters, I'm sure the cake looked fine to them, but in my mind I can't help but think how sad those cakes had to have looked. I can't imagine how some them tasted! Yuck!

Why is it that the same bride will pay $5,000 for a dress, but only wants to spend $100 for a cake to feed 500?

What is it about cake that makes some people such cheapskates?

there were a few in there that actually paid quite a bit for their cakes, and they didn't complain about it. Now the $18/serving on a carrot cake, I'd complain about that too.
