My friend has asked me to make a birthday cake for her mom's 70th birthday. The only thing she requested was something to do with Kermit. I'm really at a loss. I was thinking about doing Kermit's face with color flow but not sure what else to do with the rest of the cake. The cake will also only be a small 6" round.

Any ideas would be most appreciated!

TIA -

Kelly

How good are you at sculpting? You could make a kermit out of 50/50 gumpaste/fondant. Maybe kermit sitting on the cake, a bow on the top and some spirals in bright colors? Just a thought.

You could make the 6" look kind of like a lilly pad, and then a gumpaste/fondant Kermit sitting on it.

This could be really easy for you. Ice the whole cake in green, then just add Kermit's facial features with either fondant or buttercream The whole cake can be his face. Similar to the cookies & cupcakes below.

A frozen buttercream transfer is another option.
