Sorry if this question has been posted before--I'm new to this forum and to cake decorating in general!
I'd like to make a wine in a wooden crate cake and I was wondering about how to do that. I'd like for the sides of the box to stand up over the top of the cake, so I'd need something more sturdy than just fondant. I was considering using Chocolate MMF and mixing in gumpaste. Any recipes on how to do this? I've made MMF, but never Chocolate and I don't know the ratio of fondant/gumpaste to mix. Would something like this still have a good flavor?
Thanks for any advice!
