I'm going to try FBCT for the first time on a Chicago Bears cake and I wanted to use it on the sides of the cake. Will the image stay intact on the side of the cake as is comes to room temperature?

As long as you apply it to the sides BEFORE the icing on the sides crusts, then the FBCT will become one with the icing on the cake and it will stay up fine.
