Just got a request for a side profile of a pregnant woman sugar cookie with an edible picture of her ultrasound?? Does a cookie cutter even exist that can do this...Also...any good online companies that do edible images?

I've never seen a cookie cutter for that. However, check out http://www.foosecookiecutters.com/store/cutterkits/index.html for DIY cookie cutter kit. OR you can contact them about having a custom cutter crafted for you.

Wow that's a challenge!...the ultra-sound image would probably have to be awefully small to go on a cookie.

Just to give you ideas some time ago I made this cake with a pregnant girl on it http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1290650
I also made this other cake for my daughter in-law's baby shower and she wanted a pic of her ultra sound...the pic is an edible image. http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1294385
So, maybe you can design your own cookie cutter..a big cookie and then reduce the image of the ultra sound to fit....maybe ??

The ultrsound image is black and white I presume. Does the client realize this may not look all that attractive on a cookie?
What color do you plan on doing the rest of the cookie?

Hi Princess, I have an edible ink printer at home so yes, I did it myself.
Good luck with your project!

She wants me to match the cake blue/brown if it's a boy and pink/brown polka dots if it's a girl...she is going to find out the sex..

If she's not completely set on the edible image idea, perhaps you can draw a very cute cartoonish face with pink or blue bow in the tummy.

The edible image would be very unique but hard to incorporate. To purchase an edible image, call your local grocery store with a bakery. Several have their own printers for their cakes. I know some "Cookies by Design" franchises also sell them (but only if you ask).

Good luck and remember to post pictures icon_biggrin.gif

Here's a link to a cutter:

http://www.kitchengifts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=LAPREG&Category_Code=showers

Was looking at this with my daughter this weekend, but she decided she'd rather do the three bumps front view. Now we're looking for a dress cutter the right size for topping a cupcake.
