Hi I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a difference between powdered sugar brands? I have also read post of 10xs sifted, how can you tell if it's 10xs? I 'm clueless please help.

If it's 10x it'll say it right on the package. You'll get all kinds of comments, of course, but I use the Wal Mart brand of powdered sugar. I sift most of my pow sugar to make eliminate any lumps. Once in a while I don't. Depends on how soft the sugar feels in the bag. I've used other brands, C&H included and I just don't see any difference. I also see no difference between cane or beet powdered sugar. That's my 2 cents.

As long as you make sure it's made with 100% cane sugar (note: pretty much all powdered sugars also contain cornstarch as a declumping agent) NOT beet sugar and it is the number of Xs you desire, then it doesn't really matter what the "brand" is.
