I need to make a chocolate ganache cake for a birthday. Any ideas on what cake I should use inside? I don't want it to fall apart but I don't want a pound cake either.....Ideas?
The only one I've made was a huge success... the Grand Marnier Wedding Cake in Rose Levy Beranbaum's book Rose's Heavenly Cakes. To die for. Someone said it was the best cake they ever had....if you make it, use a few drops of Boyajian Pure Orange Oil as mentioned in the recipe.
