Does the color mist from Wilton work on SMBC or will it bead like when water gets on butter?

I do not have much luck with Color Mist. The color is rarely even, and it sprays wide. (And it's like spraying hairspray on your cake...total alcohol smell)

And yes, on my IMBC it does seem to puddle and seperate a bit, you really have to be careful not to spray it much more than one sweeping spray.

Now I could have not shaken it enough, because you do have to shake it constantly.

However, I have been able to spray the black onto a styrofoam plate, and let it build up, and paint with it when I needed gray paint.

Honestly I haven't tried any color on SMBC, but in general the W spray color is crap and the PME spray color is quite good.

Yeah..I second the Wilton spray..The smell is horrible...like mouthwash and it tends to fly all over...I have an airbrush sothat is all I use but the PME sprays are really nice however I have only ever seen them come in pearl,bronze,silver and gold...
