please help, ive never done this before, i plan on making an engagement ring box cake, im going to use a 10X10 square to make it. the cake will be for 30 to 40 ppl so i need to make 2 cakes right (betty croker or somtheing not home made), i wanted to stack 2 filled cakes on top of each other so that we can serve 40 ppl if needed, i wanted them to be treated as 2 separate cakes so we'll get the correct amount of servings, i was going to separate them with cake board and set 4 dowels on the bottom layer, is this advisable or should i just treat it as one big cake and give everyone half a piece i dont want the slices to seem chinsey. Please help me, ill take any advice you guys can give me!!! any and all comments suggestions welcome!

a 10"x10"x4" cake will serve 50 people easily.....you won't have to worry about cheesey slices.........the standard 1"x2"x4" slice is a good 4-6 bites!
