How do all of you cover dummy cakes?
I like to cover the dummy with Glad Press N Seal first. Then if I'm doing fondant, I put a very thin coat of clear piping gel, then add my fondant over that. It's easy to reuse the dummies if you cover in the plastic first.

I just smear a thin later of shortenng on mines.
I used to be able to spread a light coating of shortening on, but it doesn't work anymore. My cake dummies have too many nicks in them now. I'll have to try the Press n Seal idea..
