I'm planning on making a 6-10-14" stacked tiered cake using Colette Peters Coco Loco recipe. I've never made a cake this size with this recipe. It will be covered in a LOT of buttercream. I'm a little worried about the cake holding up, and not sagging under the weight. My main concern is with the 14" (2-layers) bulging out on the sides. Any thoughts? Do you think it will be fine? Has anyone ever used this recipe for stacked cakes?

I've only done a two-tier 6"-10" stack with this recipe, but I had no problems. It is a firm, solid recipe.

Thanks for the info. It makes me feel better. I like the cake and have used the recipe for tall 8" torte cakes, and it held up fine. Plus, it's delicious.
