What is the best cake recipe for cake for carving? I need vanilla. I want to make a Tim Hortons Cup. Not standing but it will need to be rounded.

WASC is generally a good sturdy cake for carving- look for it in the recipes section. There is a scratch version and a cake mix version

I think almost any cake can be carved....just refrigerate first and carve it while cold.

I don't freeze or put my cakes in the fridge. I have craved plain cake mixes, doctored cake mixes and the extender recipes.

The only ones I have had some issue with is the DH butter recipe mix and I think it is just because that is just super soft in texture and a cake that had nuts and coconut in it.
