Hi all,

I'm hoping you can help me with this cake my boyfriend has asked for for his 40th birthday next month.

The original is from Complete Deelites in Hong Kong.

It is 12 inches tall so I am thinking a dolly varden or bell shaped tin for the head (5 inches) and a 7 inch square tin for the body but not sure if this will work - the cake might be too narrow. ( I will be making only one lego storm trooper as he wants a death star too.)

Any suggestions on how to construct this will be much appreciated

Thanks

Your ideas sound about right - but I would definitely do layers of cake with bc in between for stability - make sure and use a center dowel that goes through your base board do hold it up.
