This morning I got the worst news, a lady I work with in the bakery was walking to the bus stop this morning on her way to work and was hit by a car and passed away (not sure if she even made it to the hospital or in the ambulance). My boss and I went over to the bakery to help our co-worker who was working alone.
I feel so sad for our Joan, she worked (eligible to retire last year) because she said she did not like to be home, she wished the nights would pass so she could come to work and be with us.
Yes..that is very sad....There was a similiar incident here in Canada where a young mother was crossing the road with her 12 week old baby in a stroller and what hit but a 86 yr old woman who didn't see them.Tragic!!!The baby survived without a scratch...Someone was watching over that little one!
It is always so sad when such an unexpected death happens.
In a way she went the way she wanted to. Now she doesn't have to be concerned w/long night alone. And she wasn't hurt and in the hospital forever.
Yes, it is indeed sad.
Thanks guys!
Ready for this!? Spoke with my boss (bakery manager) today and she had purchased flowers to send to the funeral parlor from our department. The store, where our friend has worked for over 25 years, is not sending anything. And to boot, they did not post any information for the employees. (They usually put a notice near the time clock with the injured/deceased name and pertinent information). What is this world coming to?
Anyway, I hope everyone had a great weekend!
