How Do I Make Fur Look On A Cake

I am trying to make a cake to look like the monster book on Harry Potter. The cover is fur like.
Help! Any suggestions welcome. icon_confused.gif

Use wilton tip 233 grass tip.

I think it was a Food Network cake challenge for the movie Ice Age that I was watching. The ladies making the woolly mammoth just put on a lot of buttercream and then used a big/wide paint brush to stroke it.

depends on the kind of fur you are wanting, but i use the 233 tip that is typically used for grass to make my fur.

i did love the way the girls made the wooly mammoth cake's fur on that challenge!

Thanks Ill try the paint brush cause I wanted a realist looking fur/hair.
