I need some ideas for a cake. It's for a survivor of Ewing's Sarcoma who has been in remission for 5 years. The party is in March. The color for Sarcoma is Yellow, and the color for survival is purple. Any ideas?

Maybe something like a fondant/gumpaste figure crossing a finish line of purple and yellow ribbons? IDK, I'd have to think on this one a little more.

I'm in VA too - around Richmond/Chesterfield. Where are you located?

Does anyone have a Wilton Ribbon pan that I could buy? usaribbon.gif

I think that a ribbon could be carved out of a few 1/4 sheet easily enough. Could you dye a cake layer purple and the others be yellow/butter flavor as a subtle tribute? Then decorate the cake/ribbon with flowers (or something manly if it's a man).

You could also play around with ACS new marketing theme: A world with less cancer is a world with more birthdays. ACS - official sponsor of birthdays.
