How do I attach "real" or fabric ribbon to a buttercream cake? I need to avoid the greasy saturated look. Thanks for the help.
Hi and welcome to CC.
I've lined the back of the ribbon with either wax paper or clear double sided tape.
Of course, if you use a crusting bc and you wait until it crusts before applying the ribbon then it shouldn't get grease marks.
I've added ribbon to crusting BC and had no problem with "greasy" look.
