I'm still new at this and have been asked by a friend to make a "Snook" cake, the character from It's a Big Big World on PBS kids.
Well I found this picture (2nd attached picture) of a Bear in the Big Blue House cake and found that it would be easier to try to get this look, instead of a complete 3D cake.
A round cake with a 2D face, instead of Bear in the big blue house i would replace it with this Snook character. I just don't know how to do it. I am going to make the round cakes (12") then I was thinking of doing a 9" for the head and a 6" 1/2 wilton ball for the nose part, then just carve them down to get the shape of the head and nose. Does that sound like to would work?
the first picture is the actual character they want on the cake. (just face)
Any suggestions would be GREAT!
