I was wondering how people typically transport wedding cakes to reception sites. They are so big, how do you keep them covered and/or safe from getting contaminated? Thank you. icon_smile.gif

If it has to go very far, I put it in a box. I slit the front of the box down each corner, slide the cake in and usually but rubber not skid mat under it. It travels safely. I put pretty much all cakes in a box for transport. It's easier to carry, keeps dust and sun off of it.
