Hi all! I'd like to make a really tall cake. Will this work: five layers of cake (each 1" tall) and four layers of filling. I'm using buttercream as filling and covering the cake in fondant. Do you think this will work okay or will I have structural problems? Has anyone ever done this? (I've already cut the cakes to 1" tall so I'd have to bake more to get them to 1.5" - maybe I should just bake more anyway.) Thanks!
That's how I do my Mad Hatter cakes, yes. Works fine!
