I am making a 4 tier (6, 9, 12, 15) stacked heart cake for a wedding vow renewal reception in February. (The sizes are the sizes of the pan set I already own.) My problem is finding the appropriate size separator plates for the 6 in tier and 9 inch tier. I found an 8 in heart separator plate which I think will work for the 9 inch tier; however, I cannot find any heart-shaped separator plate smaller than 8 inches. Does anyone have any ideas about what to do about the 6 in tier? Thanks for your input.

Since it's just a teeny little 6", use foam core for your base board (for your 6", for sturdiness) and use bubble tea straws. Set it on after you set the cake up. You don't really need to use plates and pillars for that last little cake on top if you don't already have them. icon_smile.gif

If you are stacking the tiers directly on each other you can just cut one out of cardboard and cover with contact paper.
