How Do I Trim Gp After De-Molding?

I'm using a First impressions mold, and I'm wondering how I should trim around the mold after it comes out? Should I try to cut flush against the side of the design, or should I leave all the background GP?

TIA!

Ideally, you shouldn't have any excess gp.

When you fill your mold, press and spread the gp until the mold is completely filled but not overflowing the edges. Pile the excess up in the center of the back of the mold. Then, cut away the excess so your item is flat on the back (or rounded depending on what you're making).

If you're making more than one of an item, sacrifice the first one by mushing it back up into a ball so you can see exactly how much gp you'll need for your remaining items.
