does anyone know how to make the "wrapping paper" creases with fondant to make a cake look "gift wrapped"?
I haven't done it yet myself, but look forward to doing one. If I was going to do one today, I'd just do it exactly like I would paper, though I would probably cut out one thickness of the fondant after I creased it at the corner so when I folded it down it wouldn't be too thick. but again, I've never done it yet myself.

Looks like a real wrapped present, so the technique can't be very different. (IMHO - have no practical experience with this technique in fondant.)
