What is the best method to support jewel picks on a buttercream cake so that they do not move and damage the cake? I bought some picks that are somewhat heavy for an upcoming cake I will be doing. I also bought some Wilton flower spikes thinking they may do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I insert my wires in coffee straws, maybe find a straw the size of your picks and insert in cake then put a little bc on pick then insert in straw HTH

I'll have to try that. They are fairly thick picks, so I may have to take them apart and then insert several strands into the straws. Thanks!
