I've made two john deere cakes, one in bc and the other in fondant. The only way I know how is just keep adding green to it until you get it the color you need. I know this isn't much help but maybe someone else can give you a little more advice.

I've made 2 John Deere cakes and for both of them I used the leaf green (took a lot to get the color I needed).

Have fun!

I thought about you a little while ago, curlycakes. I was in Wal-Mart and they have the Wilton buckets of green icing on sale, let over from Christmas. They kept the red since valentines is coming up. I grabbed a bucket of the green. I'm sure it will keep a long time as long as I don't open it.
