Hey Guys,

I have my 1st wedding cake of 2010 on Friday, Jan 8th. It is a 3 tier, 6, 9, 12. Would you put the 12 inch on a 14 in drum or 16 inch drum? I would like to hear your thoughts. I know it is typical to use a drum or board 2 inches bigger than the cake.

thanks

Benisha

I would do a 16" drum and cover it in fondant.

I agree 16", a cake always looks better on the bigger board I think icon_smile.gif

On most cakes I do 2in difference, but on a tiered cake I prefer the 4in difference.
