I am need of a Almond Flavored White Wedding Cake Recipe. We had tried recipes with basic almond and vanilla flavoring but have not got to that actual true wedding cake taste. Any suggestions on specific brand name almond flavoring or if we are missing specific ingredients other that just the flavoring? Thanks

Honestly, I just use my (scratch) white cake batter throw in almond flavoring that I buy by the gallon from Dawn.

You may want to try emulsions or oils to get that intense almond flavor.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about....

Lorann's oils makes an almond oil also. You can purchase that from the site that I linked above.

I just use pure almond extract with vanilla flavoring with my white cake recipes and you can taste the flavoring in the cake. I use McCormicks pure almond extract.

Try the WASC recipe here on CC. ( White Almond Sour Cream). I use it frequently and it always gets RAVE reviews.
