Whenever I connect my iPod into my Laptop, it freezes iTunes (not Laptop), and installs an Apple mobile device driver, then a window pops up and says that my iPod is connected and do I want to browse the device like an external Hard Drive etc, but it freezes iTunes, and there is no iPod shown in iTunes either. It shows up in devices as an Apple Mobile device, and it still charges the iPod. This problem started after I tried installing some new software called "Doubletwist" which is an iTunes alternative, but I found that I could not transfer music files back to "Doubletwist" on the Laptop, so I have since uninstalled this "Doubletwist", now I have no iPod Sync, and it freezes iTunes 9.0 this will teach me not to mess with this again. I am using Windows 7 which was working great with iTunes, any ideas what I can do?

i think i would head to the apple store ipod and laptop in hand. Or find yourself a savvy teenager to help you out.
