Hi to all,
I would like to be pointed in the right direction about starting (you guessed it!) a cupcake business ( not as many in Australia as in USA).
I am interested in knowing what thing are needed and what would make it a success?
Any information or direction to past posts would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

You may want to do a search for (cupcake) in the Starting a Business. I'm sorry that's all I got but maybe someone else will have more for you. good luck

I don't have too much info for you but i would advertising is important, try some free stuff first like a Facebook page or something. Just get your name out there. Do ou have Farmer's markets or country bazaars or any kind of fair? those might be good place to show your stuff. Give samples(small ones though) People love free stuff. Offer flavors/designs no one else is. And DON'T under-sell your self!!!Be patient, sometimes these things take time. Good luck!!

HI there,
MalibuBakinBarbie posted a really informative article not too long ago regarding the cupcake shop craze; a must-read for you, I'd say. I'm going to attempt to post a link:

Hope that works for ya!

My only advice, is, for a cupcake shop to catch on like wild fire, you need to have a location in a somewhat trendy, high traffic area! Of course, the downfall here is high rent.
Keep looking until you find the exact right spot and don't settle. Even better, find a shop that was a similar foodservice, that you would have to put very minimal money into, to renovate. Or get the landlord to pay for the tenant improvements.
