I feel like I am walking in a cake dream!!!! My home kitchen has been zoned and licensed by the state to design cakes out of!! I can hardly believe it!!! My main goal.... to hopefully contribute what I need to our household budget so I can quit "that silly ol' day job" and be able to stay at home with our 2 kids by decorating cakes. Zippididoodahhh!!!! Just wanted to share!!

What's that 'ol day job you're leaving? Just curious....misery loves company, you know...

I work at a health insurance company as a senior medical auditor. I am actually at home, right now, on maternity leave through January 4th when I return to work. So, I have a 4-year-old and (almost) 2 month old. Practically, one whole paycheck will go to paying daycare cost for 2 kids, yet I need that 2nd paycheck for household budget. No doubt it will be hard to juggle full-time work, being a wife and mother and then cakes... but I have my goal in sight and there's no stopping me. I want to be home with my kids so not to miss out on any of their laughter, not hear about it from their teachers.
I'm sure their are alot of 'cakers' out there juggling life and cakes. Any stories to share for inspiration?!?!?
