I have found a recipe and it says 2 tablespoons of butter, does anyone know if that means heaped or level or is there a conversion somewhere tablespoon to weight
Usually butter labels have measurements on them. 1 stick is 8 tbsp.
Measure butter level not heaping unless it says so.
Thanks for your help, is that 1tbsp = 1 ounce?
1 stickof butter equals 4 ozs or 1/4 lb,
8 TBSP equals 1/2 cup same 1/4 lb
so like Mensch said 2 TBSP equals 1 ounce.
and you can measure right from a stick of butter which is seperated by 1 TBSP lines, or you can weigh.
Super thanks for all your help. Im in the UK and its measured on the pack in grams thats why things get very confusing lol
