Which is better to use to 'sculpt', ready madeRKT or made from scratch RKT? Opinions????
TIA
I'd say from scratch...you can control how much of the cereal you put in to achieve the right consistency. I think the premade kind are fairly soft (and from what I remember, taste different because of the preservatives).
I think the pre-made are less sticky out of the wrapper, but can be compacted and molded very easily. They are, however, much more expensive than making your own--I only use them when I can find them on sale.
Because the homemade are stickier, I find it harder to handle them without greasing my hands. The also have more air space in them from the start.
In the end, either type work just fine. For me, it comes down to cost, convenience, and the amount of time I have for the project.
