I have leftover antonias icing that I will be using tomorrow as finishing details. I have it in my KA bowl with the KA plastic snap cover over it. Should it be in the fridge or on the counter overnight? Thanks!

I leave mine on the counter. I cover mine with plastic and place a damp towel over it as well.

I leave mine on the counter/room temp. in a plastic container (like tupperware).

I love this icing, always leave it on the counter or shelf. Seems to stay good for a week or two at least.

Not to steal the thread here, but how much ps do you guys add? I dump in my 2lb bag of PS and then try to figure out the .25 lbs. I use a scale but never seem to get it exactly right, does anyone know how this measure's out into cups?

There's approximately 4 sifted cups of ps to a pound....I'd say 1 sifted cup = .25 pound

I don't bother being exact with that portion....I dip my cup into the bag and get about 3/4 of a cup's been doing fine so far.

I asked this a while back and the answer i got was 10 cups. It's been working nicely so far.

It's about 8-9 cups for the recipe and it can stay out on the counter overnight well covered.

It doesn't need to go into the fridge. None of the ingredients are perishable.

You can store it in an airtight container away from sunlight and use it up to about 4-5 weeks, it just needs to be fully re-whipped before using it again.
