I'm trying to get a spray of gum paste flowers to trail down the side of the cake. It's too heavy and may not stay where I want it to. Do you ever anchor them with something? Like the wires used to hold them together?

Not sure I would want to just stick them in the cake.

What do you think?? Need help ASAP. These are due sat.... I know , I know I put this off too lung. icon_smile.gif I'll never learn.

I use flower spikes or straws or hollow lollipop sticks stuck into the cake, and then the wires stuck into those. You can loop a piece of wire around the wire parts of the spray, twist it together and then use that to anchor it. If you have a whole bunch of wires that you want to stick into the cake, like the end of a spray, then you would use a flower spike.
