I am doing a cake starting this weekend. The idea is to make it look like a box with a bunch of Christmas ornaments in it and I am going to paint each persons name on the ornament. I also want to make it look like the the ornaments are placed on a pile of tissue paper. Do you think modeling chocolate or fondant would work better for that?

i would use fondant i find it easier to work with then modeling chocolate, but it may be that i'm just weird. I also think fondant is easier to paint.
